So many activities near Martin-Eglise
Our hotel located in Martin-Eglise between the Côte d’Albâtre and the Forest of Arques is ideal for enjoying a range of nautical and outdoor activities. The sea and the countryside are at your feet! Just 10 minutes by car, Dieppe and its beach are perfect for activities in the sea and in the sky. Listed as a “France Station Nautique” (Nautical Resort of France), Dieppe offers sporty types with chances to try sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, rowing, stand-up paddling, surfing and bodysurfing.
If you’d rather do something calmer, boats from the town of Dieppe offer a mini-cruise which will allow you to get a good view of the Côte d’Albâtre.
Dieppe is also the capital of kiting. Every other year in September, it hosts the International Kite Festival, a spectacle both grandiose and poetic. Fans of games of all ages will enjoy the casino (Groupe Partouche) offering slot machines, traditional games, and both English and electronic roulette.
Nearby, the Golf de Dieppe-Pourville with its 18-hole course overlooking the sea is the oldest of its kind in Normandy.
Near the Auberge du Clos Normand, there are paths and hiking trails for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders, and the Forest of Arques provides 1000 hectares of nature and relaxation. Nearby, you’ll also be able to discover the Avenue Verte (Green Avenue) on the former railway linking Arques-la-Bataille to Forges-les-Eaux and Offranville to Hautot-sur-Mer. This multi-use path stretches over 40 km, with no vehicles. By the sea, the GR 21 hiking trail crosses Upper Normandy from Dieppe to Etertat along the Côte d’Albâtre. Upper Normandy truly has something for everybody.
